I'm a going to Tanzania - here we come!
Hello everyone,
Just want to say a quick thanks to all of you who have put up with my incessant questions on this wonderful forum.
Can't tell you how much time and effort you've saved me by pointing me in the right direction about everything from shots to photo ops, temperatures to facts about underwear washing in the wilds, migration to food possibilities etc.
All my bags are packed I'm ready to go... (not).
Out of here by mid Friday
Look for me fellow fodor's in the Tanzania photographic 4x4 - I'll be the one with the silly grin.
Tanzania/Seychelles bound!!
Peace;
Sherry

See how quickly the time goes. Seems like only yesterday you joined us here. And now, you're about to leave.
You'll have a wonderful time.
Can't wait to read your trip report about the mainland and, of course, an update on the Seychelles. There haven't been posts about the latter is a while.
Happy travels.

I'm leaving on a jet plane.......
Perhaps it was first done by Peter, Paul and Mary or maybe even John Denver (didn't he write everything way back when)?
Best done by the Mamas and Papas. Can't get that tune out of my head now #-o
Thank you all for your kinds words and thoughts.

Peter, Paul and Mary Leaving on a Jet Plane LYRICS index
All my bags are packed,
I'm ready to go
I'm standing here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breaking,
It's early morn
The taxi's waiting,
He's blowing' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome
I could cry.
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go.
I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go.
All my bags are packed,
I'm ready to go
I'm standing here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breaking,
It's early morn
The taxi's waiting,
He's blowing' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome
I could cry.
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go.
I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go.

Sherry, that was one of my favorite songs, so I just had to try to find out who sang it way back when (longer than we care to admit) since I couldn't remember. Mommas and Pappas, 5th Dimension, Peter, Paul and Mary, all great groups, wonderful songs, fine memories. Now go make some!
