Restaurant in Mississauga

We're going to Toronto in a few weeks, and are looking for a restaurant in Mississauga for lunch on Sunday. I've done a search, and there are lots, but I'm looking for a recommendation. We love trying all types of cuisine.

Mississauga is a very big city; any idea of what part of it you'd like to eat in?

And how fancy?

My family has enjoyed the Mandarin chinese buffet on Dundas near Winston Churchill, in north-west Mississauga, but a Chinese buffet may not be quite what you have in mind.

I like the Muddy Duck on Dundas just west of the West Mall, but it's not very fancy.

For a special lunch, you might come into the west end of Toronto, to the Old Mill, just off Bloor Street at the Humber River bridge, for a Sunday buffet. It's about ten minutes from the Mississauga border.

BAK

BAK

Thanks for the suggestions, Brian. I had just heard there were some good restaurants there, and thought maybe something special would pop into someone's head. I wasn't aware of the size of Mississauga. I will certainly consider the restaurants you mentioned. Thanks again!

Michael's Back Door (on Lakeshore)Italian.

Apricot Tree on Dundas - owned by Austrians - quaint cafe.

Lucy's Seafood Kitchen - 1/2 price appetizers on Sunday's 12-5. THE BEST seafood this side of the Maritimes. And increadible reasonable prices. Call ahead recommended (they give you only a 15 minute window).

Enjoy
My favorite dim sum place in Ontario is in Mississauga. It's The Good Luck (I think they still call it that), in the Chinese plaza in the Dixie & Dundas area. Sunday is hopping, there may be a 10 min wait, but I've always loved it.

If you want something spicy try Eddie's wok N roll.

Something for lunch by the lake then I'd suggest Solstice Restaurant (http://solsticerestaurant.ca/)

Or Snug Harbor

There are two restaurants in the Port Credit area of Mississauga that overlook Lake Ontario. There is Snug Harbour a casual restaurant with a varied menu that fits all budgets. Snug Harbour has been recently renovated. Across the street is a 5 star restaurant called "Breakwater" in The Waterside Inn. I have been to the Solstice Restaurant and although their food is very good, it is not on the Lake but in a small plaza.
