TURKS & CAICOS ISLANDS
I am a Canadian who is thinking of moving to the island of Provodenciales (Provo) which is in the Turks & Caicos island chain, Does anyone have info on current living conditions other than in the area's of new homes, like where locals and the not so rich live. Is there much obvious poverty once you get away from the touristy area's, like in Mexico, Jamaica, Cuba etc. Any bad or good things to say about Provo, other than the high cost of living. Thank you for any information.

re; Carib soul's reply, You obviously have never lived in Canada, or tried running a small business here. Highest tax rate in north america, plus 14%25 tax on almost everything you buy,$2.50 a gallon for gas (even though we produce our own oil) declining health care (up to a years wait for heart surgery)(6 months wait for an MRI) and so on. Very high crime rate, especially among juveniles (because they are hardly ever charged) . etc. etc. etc. So how worse could provo be, I looked it up on the internet, and it looks lovely. I envy any one who can live somewhere other than Canada.
