Immigration experience entering USA from Cuba non us citizen
Hi,
We are 2 colombian citizens that bought tickets from miami to havana round trip after trump's announcement in June. Is there someone that is not an american citizen that has flown to cuba round trip that can share his/her experience with immigration and customs at arrival in the US?
We know that we are subject to US jurisdiction although not being american.
We located an agency (viahero) that offers a plan to travel to cuba under the category support for the human people.

A U.S.-based airline cannot transport passengers to Cuba as tourists. The airline is subject to restrictions too. The OP says they are traveling MIA-HAV-MIA. That means they must fit into one of the approved categories for travel to Cuba, even if they are non-U.S. citizens. The only way for them to be free of the restrictions is to travel via a third country.

HI - we just returned from Cuba and we are Canadians. We left from Ft. Lauderdale and returned there. No problem at all at Immigration and Customs.
We flew JetBlue and bought our visa right at check in, $50.00 each. Our flight cost $225. US return. At the hotel we had to pay with Canadian Visa card as they would not accept our US Visa card. Our daughter's British MasterCard also was not accepted but she could have used a British Visa card. We were told no US card would be accepted.
We asked at check in if it would be just as easy for our American friends to fly to Cuba and were told yes but to tell them to do it soon. We did not travel with any group.

HI Ann,
We had a great time. Only there for 4 days as DH uses a walker so we were a little concerned how he would manage. We would have loved to do it like you did and stay with locals but thought he would do better in a hotel with a lift. We met many locals though as my daughter as trained many journalists from there.
I read your wonderful trip report and did want to comment and ask questions but my iPad is very old and I'm having trouble posting lately. It crashes when I attempt to sign in. Today it's behaving.
How are you doing dear Ann. I thought of you and your DH a lot on this trip.

I'm so pleased that you were able to make the most of the experience. Of course it would be much easier for you to stay in a hotel and you had the chance to meet locals through your DD's contacts which is a big bonus. If you ever get your iPad to work, please tell us more!
Thank you so much for thinking of us. Of course it's not easy but I am so grateful that we had the opportunity to do all the things we did together and to see all the places we did. And I am very lucky to have wonderful support from our kids and friends, including lots of people here. Mainly though I know that Bill would not have wanted me to sit around moping, so when I am out and doing things, I am able to think of him, encouraging me and egging me on.
