Casa Karma
A poster on another thread saw my link to Casa Karma and asked for more information. So please pardon a quick Mexico (PV) recommendation here on the Caribbean board.

I haven't stayed there (beyond my 'budget' budget) but toured the property last fall. I was actually there because of a Zumba event being hosted on the cliff-side patio deck. Really sweet, welcoming lady owner.
It used to be a private home that has been enlarged with amazing spaces added to hold weddings, etc. in addition to the private rooms that make up the B&B.
It's right next to Lindo Mar, a long-standing hotel in that area (which is 5 mins. south of the Zona Romantica by taxi, or 15 mins. on a local bus).
I've heard they have a really good Bloody Mary bar -lol!
suerte, suze

Yes I thought it looked (and felt) pretty fantastic. Even though I have not stayed there myself I would not hesitate to recommend it, after my visit, meeting the owner in person, hearing a bit of history about the place.

Depends on the time of year and I'm starting in Seattle.
High season I can get non-stop flightd so just under 5 hours between SeaTac and PVR.
Low-season (May thru Oct) I have to change once (at SFO, LAX, Phoenix, Orange County) so total travel time more like 7 hours.
From the airport in PV you'd grab a taxi, the Hotel Zone is about 15 mins. from the airport, Old Town about 25 mins. and Casa Karma being a bit south of the city ~35 mins. ride and cost of 300peso (about $17 at today's exchange rate).
