Good and not too touristy restaurants
I will be travelling to Amsterdam in March 2016 with my husband and 20 yar old daugher. Any ideas for restaurants that stand out would be appreciated. We like creative, interesting and delicious food with local color.
Thank you in advance!

I had a really good lunch at Café Bruxelles, great beer, very central location.

The cafeteria at the Van Gogh Museum, self-service, shared tables but great salads.

Foodism and Cafe Loetje were two of our favorites. Foodism has a wide variety of small plates with a Mediterranean emphasis while steak is the star at Cafe Loetje, along with the best fries in the world.

I second Bern, by the way. But make sure to book! It's always packed.

I recommend an Indonesian rijstaffel, because this is unique and typical Amsterdam. Some are very touristy, but Tempo Doeloe on the Utrechtestraat is a bit off the beaten path. Sama Sebo I think is more touristy. There are others you can look into as well.
Café Hoppe is a classic in a great location.
