Recommendations for downtown Asheville in Oct

Appreciate your suggestions for lodgings in downtown Asheville. We would like to be able to walk around, but will also need park a car for visiting the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Budget 100-200

Thanks

Stayed at the Sheraton last fall and it was very much walking distance to all of downtown. Price was reasonable. Had a great meal at Curate, tapas style small plates, good Spanish wine.

You will need to see what's available and book quickly. That's peak season in the mountains, things get full AND hotels go at a premium. You may have to take what ever is available. Look on kayak.com and enter your dates of travel to see what's available in your budget.

The LOFT in downtown is a great location - I am not sure of the prices, they may be high that time of year. I hope you enjoy - it is a great town! I would suggest that if you want to stay in the "downtown" area I would avoid the Biltmore Park area - you could not really walk to downtown from there. There are several hotels around that area that might be closer to your price range - there are several parking garages in downtown.

What Sue said. Find what is available and grab it. I don't think driving downtown and parking would be particularly difficult if you were a bit out.
