Trip Report: Barcelona and Andalucia
Hello everyone! I recently went on a wonderful trip to Barcelona and parts of Andalucia, visiting Granada, Cordoba, Seville, Cadiz, Gibraltar and Ronda. If you are interested in any of these destinations, do read my photo-journal at https://sujaa.wordpress.com/2012/03/...outh-of-spain/

I enjoyed reading your report about Barcelona. We were there in October 2010 for 5 days and still did not see everything. You must go back! Casa Battlo is fabulous, one of my favorites. Great photos!

@Kwoo: Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed my report I too enjoy reading others' reports and reliving past holidays! And yes, 2 days in Barcelona is nowhere near enough, I have every intention of going back for a longer trip one day.

Thanks Suja - it feels like you have walked in my shoes. We did Barcelona, Seville, Granada and Cordoba in December .... and we have definately stood in the same spot many times to record the beauty of Spain. Thanks for sharing - it brings back happy memories!

Thank you, Suja, you certainly are a well organized lady. We spent some time in Barcelona last year and are returning again next month. It's so much easier for you since you live in Europe and can hop on a plane and be there in a couple of hours. Lucky you.

@Treesa: True, I sure feel lucky In a way its difficult too..I know there is much of Barcelona that I haven't experienced yet, but I am such a greedy guts - there are so many places just an hour's flight away and I want to see them all, so I dont go back to places often. Nine years in Switzerland with at least 3 or 4 trips every year within Europe and I still have SO much of Europe yet to see!! This is an over-abundant continent, riches galore for tourists..

@Kwoo : Andalucia is indeed very different from Barcelona! Everyone I know who has travelled to Spain always picks Barcelona as their favourite city, but I would choose Seville instead. For me, Seville has that certain something, an old world charm which I find irresistible.
