Luggage storage in Barcelona
We are going on a Mediterrean cruise that leaves Oct. 1st. from Barcelona. Our flight gets into Barcelona early in the morning. We would like to do a little sightseeing before boarding the ship, but don't know what to do with our luggage. We would like to find a place that we can store it for the morning. I hate the idea of sitting in the ship terminal for 4 hours waiting to board the ship. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Why don't you take a private tour. There are so many offered and they could pick you up at the airport and then drop you off at the ship. Here is a website you could try http://www.barcelonatourguides.com/
We often do that prior to cruises although we haven't been to Barcelona so can't recommend a particular company.

We used Barcelona Tour Guides and thought they were great. Don't count on being too energetic after a long flight. The ships start embarkation about 12 or 1. And it is a long process. So I wouldn't be too ambitious. We stayed three nights in Barcelona before our cruise left. It was the best 3 nights of the trip. Lots to see.

ABSOLUTELY agree with Aristotle.. we always stay two nights in Barcelona which is a gorgeous city..We have a guide/driver that picks us up at the airport, drops us a the hotel and then takes us wherever we want to go. The Hotel we use is The Continental.. favored by cruisers.

I think we also used BCN tourist guide and they were good also. We went mainly through Holland America, and the hotel they used for us was the AC Diplomatic. It was very nice with great amenities and the location was perfect. Close to everything, comfortable, courteous, safe. Would highly recommend it.

I was just getting some info for a friend on this questions as well and came across some luggage info pages at:
http://enjoy-barcelona.com/barcelona...n-luggage.html
It seems really comprehensive and was the best i could find.

If you haven't bought your tickets to Barcelona I just about beg you to fly in a few days earlier.. We ourselves have left from Barcelona four times and only once did we not stay over two days. Barcelona is a magnificent city.. Thanks to this site we have found a driver/guide who speaks perfect english (raised outside of NYC) and his name is Aurielo <[email protected]>. Aurielo picks us up at the airport, drives us to our hotel.. Hotel Continental (very popular with cruisers, family owned, and extremely affordable.. The hotel has refreshments and drinks 24/7) and Aurielo or his friend Michael take us to where we want to go for as long as we want.. He then picks us up, luggage and all. and takes us to the port. Oh yes.. the Hotel Continental is right on La Rambla which is a must and two blocks from the 200 year old market and around the corner from a Gaudi Church. Barcelona is our favorite port city in Europe...

There's a new left luggage service at Barcelona's port. Last week I went to Ibiza with Balearia and I left my luggage there for a few hours... It's a small office located at the World Trade Center. Open from 9am to 8pm. Only 4€ all day!!! It's called HASTAVUELO. http://www.hastavuelo.es/index.php?i...n=hotel-cruise

We tried up2u, see their page www.up2uglobal.com, and picked us at the cruise terminal and took us directly to the sailing boat, where we had a nice sunny day on the sea. Luggage was kept at their offices.
