New York City Nightlife

Iridium

Iridium Review

This cozy, top-drawer club is a sure bet for big-name talent like the David Murray Black Saint Quartet and Michael Wolff. The sight lines are good, and the sound system was designed with the help of Les Paul, the inventor of the solid-body electric guitar, who used to play here every Monday night. The rest of the week sees a mix of artists like Chuck Mangione and the Eddie Daniels Band.

IT MAY BE LISTED AS A JAZZ CLUB BUT IT IS MORE OF A GUITARISTS CLUB...I CAME HERE THE OTHER NIGHT BECAUSE I SAW A GREAT ARTICLE ON THE CLUB IN GUITAR WORLD MAGAZINE...WE SAW ROBBEN FORD HERE AND ALL I CAN SAY IS WOOWWWIEE! GREAT SOUND, HUGE WINE LIST AND THE FOOD WAS NORTHERN ITALIAN WITH FRESH PASTAS AND SUPER SIDE DISHES 9 THE SEAFOOD FRA DIAVLO WAS DIVINE). SERVICE WAS GOOD IN THAT THEY KNEW WHAT TO DO AND GOT OUT OF THE WAY, SO WE ENJOYED THE SHOW IN THIS INTIMATE CLUB. NYC QUALITY RULES. A GREAT PLACE TO GO
