Capt. Farris House Review
Steps from the Bass River Bridge and a short spin away from congested Route 28 sits this imposing 1845 Greek-revival home. Thoughtful amenities abound, from the plush bath robes, beach supplies, fresh flowers in each room, and a selection of complimentary cordials. The large rooms and suites have either antique or canopied beds, plush comforters, fancy drapes, and deep tile baths (all but one with a whirlpool tub). Some have fireplaces and sundecks. Breakfast is served in the formal dining room or the greenhouse-style interior courtyard and might include quiche with pumpkin-pecan scones or thick French toast. Baked goods and coffee are available after hours. Check the Web site for periodic special rates.
