With its graceful columns and welcoming front veranda, the regal Winstead Inn sits along a quiet street on the edge of downtown. Greenery surrounds this Gothic Victorian house, and many of the rooms have a view of the heated, saltwater outdoor pool, a real oasis with potted palms, fountains, and flowers. The inn has a sister property on the beach.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Winstead Inn with our 2 year old daughter last month. We had the carriage house and it was beautiful. I don't think we truly ever expected every one of our needs, accomodations or request met and met with a smile but they were. I met visitors who come back yearly including a family gathered there to fullfill the final wishes of their passing grandmother. It was the perfect vacation, beautifully decorated
and CLEAN accomodations, wonderful breakfasts (I looked forward to the delicious pastries every morning)and health concious breakfasts always available though that doesn't surprise me, everywhere in town there were all natural markets and fresh vegetable stands. The Inn followed suit with great things to get you going in the morning and not cheap fillers to make you feel too sluggish to enjoy their beautiful beach. The staff was great, friendly and made us feel like we had been coming for years. I enjoyed the town of Harwich which was so quite and peaceful with beautiful homes and the kindest people. It was a true reminder of what it means to just stop and smell the roses (they were growing wild everywhere!) I just loved it, both owners were very warm and everyone made my daughter feel welcomed. It was a wonderful time and we will definetely go back there again. It really went off without a hitch it is just a great place!
