W Chicago - Lakeshore Review

The only Chicago hotel directly overlooking Lake Michigan, this sleek, high-energy hotel has guest rooms with modern, clean design and an elegant neutral palette. The lobby is part lounge, part club scene, with DJs on weekends. The hotel's "whatever, whenever" desk—its version of a concierge service—is on call 24 hours a day. Pamper yourself at the Bliss Chicago Spa, located on the 8th floor, where hotel guests get priority booking for their treatments. Also, get a complimentary drop-off from one of the hotel's SUVs within 5 miles of the hotel.

    Nice and hospitable

These folks run a hotel right; they try very hard to please and usually do. The Waves restaurant is very good. The gym is well equipped and clean (and empty at night). Keep in mind not a great location for getting a cap if it's raining or snowing. If you're running late, forget starting on time.
One could hang out in the lobby but frankly, if you work long hours or arrive on a late flight the party scene downstairs can be a little annoying.
