Theater lovers will relish an opportunity to stay at this recently renovated, Art Deco-theme hot spot. The new, eclectic decor—including pop art-inspired chairs and sofas—is a hit, and the lobby's black and gray wallpaper looks super sharp. The service is solid, and the rooms are a treat with their muted metallic walls and blue mohair headboards. The bathrooms are well crafted, with gleaming new gray marble and updated sinks and vanities. Rent a suite if space is your thing. The building, staying true to its original architecture, kept the rooms on the smaller side. Pros: Aveda products in the bathrooms; yoga equipment available upon request. Cons: small bathrooms and closets.
