Skip the tourist-trap funnel-cake fare at Navy Pier and opt instead for this riverside gourmet market just a block away. The prepared fine and organic foodstuffs are treated with reverence, and although service is cafeteria-style, selections are decidedly more sophisticated. The signature club with applewood-smoked bacon and basil-pesto mayo is a winner, as are the salmon burger and pretty much everything else we've tried. The adjacent market bistro has table service and
is open for dinner daily and brunch on the weekend.
