Westmount Square
Westmount Square Review
When skylights were cut into the terrace of Westmount Square in 1990, the architectural community was outraged at the "desecration" of the revered Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe's original work. Others deemed it a necessary step to bring some light into the gloomy, high-end mall beneath the square—a complex of three towers, a two-story office building, and a shopping concourse.
