Central Prince County is composed of a loose network of small communities set amid green fields. In the tradition of their forebears, most residents are farmers, and those in O’Leary are no exception. In terms of preferred crops, the potato is big here—literally. A giant fiberglass one that looms outside the PEI Potato Museum is the town’s distinguishing feature. After eating potatoes prepared every possible way, you can work off the calories in nearby Mill River Provincial Park with golfing and other outdoor activities.
