As small as they are, you still can’t miss the communities that collectively make up the Acadian Shore. Each one on this stretch, beginning roughly in Beaver River and ending in St. Bernard, seems to have a surplus of Stella Maris flags, a disproportionately large Catholic church, and a French-speaking populace with an abiding passion for rappie pie, a hearty chicken stew with shredded potatoes. Church Point, called Pointe de l'Église by Francophones, tops the rest on all three counts.
