Fodor's Expert Review Hotel Pakaritampu

Av. Ferrocarril s/n, Ollantaytambo, Cusco, Peru

One of Ollantaytambo's better lodgings, with a Quechua name that translates as "house of dawn," has reading rooms with fireplaces and Cusqueña art that invite you to settle in with a good book and a hot cup of coffee on a chilly evening. There are lovely grounds to stroll, filled with flowers that attract hummingbirds; rooms are clean, decorated in rich, earthy colors that complement the surrounding landscape. The on-site orchard supplies the fruit that ends up on your breakfast plate and in the Peruvian cuisine served in the restaurant.

  • close to train station
