Taxi Travel

Taxis are a safe, convenient, and economical way to travel in Ecuador, even when you want to travel long distances. It's easy to negotiate a rate with a driver beforehand for a half- or full-day trip to your destination. A three-hour taxi ride, for example, should only cost about $50, but if you're going only one way, the driver will expect you to pay his return fare, too.
