Fodor's Review

Editor's Note: This location is reported to be under new ownership and therefore this review may contain inaccuracies.

This popular restaurant in the center of town is a Coyhaique institution. The stairs in the back lead to a wooden dinner parlor with walls covered in fascinating sepia photos from the town's archives. Among the most popular items on the menu are trout, rabbit, and grilled leg of lamb. Lighter fare includes excellent empanadas filled with locate (a local mollusk), and varied sandwiches. There's great homemade ice cream, too. Evenings often see local music groups, which add to the authentic Patagonian atmosphere imbued by the pottery and crocheted hangings from the family's matriarch.
