There are three Anong's locations across Wyoming, but this friendly spot is the original. Anong, the restaurant's founder, is originally from Thailand and her menu has all the authentic specialties you would hope for, bursting with flavor and made from fresh ingredients. Most dishes have a vegetarian option. The restaurant closes from 3 to 5 between lunch and dinner service.
The fanciest restaurant in Rawlins, this little steak house in a Victorian home serves hand-cut meat, seafood, and pasta, with a few Asian fusion dishes, to boot. Co-owner Lena Dirck grew up in Singapore and opened the restaurant with her husband James in the mid-1990s, back when it was hard to find a variety of restaurants in Rawlins. Aspen House remains a favorite with locals and visitors alike.
One of Wyoming's best Mexican restaurants is in the tiny refinery town of Sinclair, 6 miles east of Rawlins. Green chili is a big draw here, and the menu is full of Mexican favorites, as well as Navajo tacos.
