Fodor's Expert Review Salish Lodge
6501 Railroad Ave. SE, Snoqualmie, Washington, 98065, USA Fodor's Choice
The stunning, chalet-style lodge—which you may recognize from the opening credits of Twin Peaks—sits right over Snoqualmie Falls. Several rooms have partial or full views of the gorgeous cascades, while others have a river panorama. All the luxurious quarters have feather beds, fireplaces, iHomes, whirlpool baths, terry robes, and window seats or balconies. The renowned spa offers relaxing and purifying treatments as well as a sauna, steam room, and soaking pools—it's perfect after a day of kayaking, golfing, or hiking. The elegant Dining Room has an eclectic menu (lamb shank ragout, pan-seared Columbia River steelhead, and many dishes featuring honey produced by on-site bees) and elaborate weekend brunches, while the cozy yet stylish Attic bistro offers fine Northwest wines and wood-fired pizzas. The additional nightly resort fee covers valet parking, Wi-Fi, and afternoon tea and cookies.
