Fodor's Expert Review Run of the River

This intimate, relaxed mountain inn stands on the banks of the Icicle River near Leavenworth, placing the rustic rooms, with timber furnishings, private outside entrances, and decks, close to nature. All decks have views of the Pinnacles (a dramatic rock formation), an aspen grove, meadows (where deer browse), or Icicle and Tumwater Canyons. Ravenwood Lodge is a spacious, chalet-style luxury retreat complete with a full kitchen, river-rock fireplace, loft bedroom, and its own outdoor hot tub. Cushy bathrobes, a fireplace, a two-person jetted tub, a DVD player, a refrigerator, and an old-fashioned typewriter are in every room. Guests have free access to mountain bikes to explore the country roads.
