Fodor's Review

Best known as a summer vacation spot, this narrow fjord—Washington's largest natural lake—offers a reason to visit all year: its striking scenery. The views include sparkling blue water with snowcapped peaks in the distance. The lake offers swimming, boating, fishing, and a chance to soak up the sun. Access to the shore is fairly limited, but the lake makes for a beautiful backdrop throughout the region.
