Flaming Gorge Dam Visitor Center. The main information center for the Utah side of the gorge, 2 miles north of Greendale Junction, includes displays and an explanatory movie. Red Canyon Visitor Center. Displays here explain the geology, flora and fauna, and human history of the Flaming Gorge area. But the best thing has to be the clifftop location 1,300 feet above the lake. The views are outstanding, and you can enjoy them while having a picnic. To get here, head west from the Greendale Junction of U.S. 191 and Highway 44, and follow the signs.
