Fodor's Expert Review The Prehistoric Museum, USU Eastern

Price Museum/Gallery

Miners working in the coal fields around Price in the late 1800s often saw and excavated rare treasures that most scientists could only dream of finding—dinosaur bones, eggs, skeletons, and fossilized tracks. These are all on view here, along with a small, but excellent kids discovery area. A second hall is devoted to early humans, with displays of beadwork, clay figurines, a walk-in teepee, and other area artifacts, as well as a gigantic wooly mammoth and a saber-toothed cat.
