Getting Oriented

.

  • Bryce Canyon North. Bryce Amphitheater is the heart of the park. From here you can access the historic Bryce Canyon Lodge as well as Sunrise, Sunset, and Inspiration points. Walk to Bryce Point at sunrise to view the mesmerizing collection of massive hoodoos known as Silent City. The 23-mile Under-the-Rim Trail is the best way to reach Bryce Canyon backcountry. It can be a challenging three-day adventure or half day of fun via one of the four access points from the main road. Several primitive campgrounds line the route.
  • Bryce Canyon South. Rainbow and Yovimpa Points are at the end of the scenic road, but not of the scenery. Here you can hike a trail to see some ancient bristlecone pines and look south into Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
