The Swag Country Inn

2300 Swag Rd., Waynesville, North Carolina, 28786, USA

The Swag sits at 5,000 feet, high atop the Cataloochee Divide, with its 250 wooded acres bordering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and with guest rooms and cabins assembled from authentic log structures and transported here. All rooms have exposed beams and wood floors and are furnished with early-American crafts. Dinners here are social events, with hors d'oeuvres, conversation, and an option of family-style or individual seating. Many ingredients are from local farms. Bring your own wine and other alcoholic beverages, as the inn does not sell alcohol. There's a sauna, hot tub, and racquetball court. You can hike on the grounds or simply walk into the Smokies.
