Fodor's Expert Review The Swag Country Inn

2300 Swag Rd., Waynesville, North Carolina, 28786, USA Fodor's Choice

The Swag sits at 5,000 feet, high atop the Cataloochee Divide, with its 250 wooded acres bordering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and with guest rooms and cabins assembled from authentic log structures and transported here. Dinners here are social events, with hors d'oeuvres, conversation, and an option of family-style or individual seating. Many ingredients are from local farms. There's a sauna, hot tub, and racquetball court. You can hike on the grounds or simply walk into the Smokies. The Swag now offers wine and craft beers. There is a two-night minimum stay at most times.
