An alternative to the elaborate Victorian-style B&Bs in town, the Wooden Rabitt is a cozy, Federal inn (1838). The American antiques decorating the house, such as Windsor chairs, brass chandeliers, and cherrywood four-poster beds have clean lines without undue ornamentation. Handsome Nantucket baskets atop an armoire in the sitting room were woven by Dave McGonigle—he and wife Nancy are the on-site innkeepers.
