Fodor's Expert Review Element Boston Seaport

391-395 D Street, Boston, MA 02210 See on Map

For extended-stay hotels, the Element is a great option. Featuring sustainable design and eco-friendly practices, the hotel has a great location in Boston's Seaport neighborhood, surrounded by endless restaurants and entertainment opportunities. You'll spot plenty of business people and conventioneers in the area, who flock to the area thanks to its proximity to several downtown companies and the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Spacious guest rooms are bright and sunny, and come fully equipped with kitchenettes, ergonomic workstations, and fun bonuses like free coffee and water. Always tech-forward, guests can use the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) app to check in, get their room number and unlock their door. Once you're inside, crash on the king-size Heavenly Bed, or enjoy a show on the 32" HDTV.

Spa-inspired bathrooms feature rainfall showerheads and plenty of all-natural Pharmacopia bath amenities.

The 24/7 business center has two computers, a printer and copier, and a fax machine. Unlike a traditional hotel, there is no concierge, but the front desk team is always happy to suggest restaurants and things to do in the area.

There is a heated indoor swimming pool.

The fitness center, MOTION, is open 24/7.

If you want to get out of the gym, ask to borrow a bicycle and helmet!

While there is no full service restaurant onsite, dinner is available next door at the Aloft in their W XYZ bar, or at their brand new restaurant, The Social Register. There is complimentary breakfast with hot and cold items daily, and quick bites are available at Restore, the hotel's snack shop.

Wang to feel right at home? There is a complimentary grill on the patio for guest use.

On Mondays through Thursdays, there is an evening reception with complimentary apps and drinks.

Getting Around

The Hotel is a short walk from the MBTA Silver Line's World Trade Center stop, but if you're looking to connect to the underground subway, you'll have to switch lines at South Station.

Head to Legal Harborside (5-minute drive) for classic New England fare, or Row 34 (5-minute drive) for an exceptional meal of oysters and other top-of-the-line seafood.

Head deeper into Southie for beers at Worden Hall (4-minute drive), or try MJ O'Connor's (5-minute walk), a classic pub at the nearby Westin Waterfront Hotel.

Very pet-friendly, the Element offers dog beds, bowls, and treats, and there are plenty of spots to walk your furry friend nearby. Also, the Element is known for its green initiatives, including their offer of a $5 voucher to their snack shop, or 250 Starwood Preferred Guest Starpoints, if you decline housekeeping for a night.
