Established in 1793, this post-and-beam bed-and-breakfast has spectacular views of Northwest Harbor and the property's pond; it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The rooms are simply decorated with comfortable beds, but the property's three cottages are better suited for extended stays. The on-site restaurant serves Maine Craft beer, very good pub fare, and even better ambitious dinners.

This inn, a farmhouse built in 1840, sits at the water's edge at the end of a quiet road with views of boats sailing in the Eggemoggin Reach. The location and a private beach provide an undisturbed island atmosphere. The main house's three guest rooms have a private bath and water views, while the two-bedroom cottage (The Mooring) has a separate entrance and full amenities, and can sleep up to five guests.
