Come for the frites alone at Jean Joho's (he of Everest fame) fun and more affordable brasserie. It's authentic down to its zinc-top bar proffering complimentary hard-boiled eggs. Stay for the choucroute Alsacienne (smoked meats with Alsatian-style sauerkraut), sautéed skate wing, steamed mussels, fillet of trout, classic coq au vin, and country pâté. It's most charming when it's bustling, though peak hours will force you to wait for a table.
