Both rustic and Zen, this magical cottage in the rain forest features cathedral ceilings, spruce walls, cork flooring, and amenities not usually found at Volcano vacation rentals, like bathrobes, a Bose home theater system, and Trek mountain bikes. The outdoor patio feels like a contemporary lodge, with an enormous stone fireplace to warm those cool Volcano nights.

This cozy cottage is full of little comforts including two fireplaces, soft furniture, beautiful local art, wooden interiors, and incredibly comfy beds. The entire cottage is just enchanting and really surrounds you with nature.
Your hosts provide two mountain bikes to explore the area – be sure to take advantage of these and take a ride to explore Volcano Village
A simple, somewhat spacious bathroom can be found inside, complete with shower with its own skylight. The outdoor shower is a delight, as you can still see and enjoy all of your rainforest surroundings.
Walk through the foliage, down a wooden walkway to a romantic in-deck hot tub.

You will need a rental car to get around the Volcano area and the island.
Kilauea Lodge Restaurant (4-minute drive) is a great choice for a higher end, full course meal. The cocktails and wine menu have a little something for everyone, and their European-inspired fare will have you ready for a relaxing evening. The Rim (8-minute drive), inside Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, offers an incredible view of the volcano glow. Try to get to dinner right before sunset, with plenty of time to see it in the dark – and be sure to make a reservation. If you’re a fan of fish, the local catch specials are almost always impeccably cooked and sauced.
Volcano Winery (11-minute drive) offers tastings of their island inspired, island grown wines every day of the year for a small fee. Thai Thai Bistro & Bar (5-minute drive) offers up local brews for a great price, tropical cocktails for a decent price, and a Flaming Thai Thai with an extra little kick.
