You may feel like you're on the set of the movie Oceans 11—the original version—as you slide into the black-leather booth at a table with a starched tablecloth and a cabaret lamp, while Frank Sinatra croons in the background and the waiters sing along—but the place is not boisterous or silly; it's laid-back, if loud. American beef definitely gets plenty of attention here, but that doesn't cancel out any of the Italian flair. A very worthy appetizer is the tuna carpaccio with kalamata olives, red onions, and lemon aioli served with Timpano's signature flatbread. Along with the 12-ounce New York strip and 16-ounce double-bone pork chops, there's a credible version of veal marsala with herbs and tomatoes and a fine rock shrimp–and-lobster ravioli.
