In the talented hands of executive chef Greg Richie, Southern staples get mighty fancy at Soco, and both the menu and the decor mesh classic and creative in a suave way. Vegetarians get one of the best meatless entrées in town with the chicken-fried cauliflower steak, a massive dish finished with a rich tomato gravy; meat eaters enjoy playful dishes like meat loaf served with lobster-mashed potatoes. Start your meal with the handmade buttermilk biscuits, and end with a moon pie or another of the specialty desserts. Weekend brunch is also an option.
