Park Fees and Permits

Entrance fees are $25 per automobile for a one-day pass or $35 for a seven-day pass. Those who enter via foot or bicycle can get a seven-day pass for $20. Motorcyclists can get a seven-day pass for $30. An annual pass to Rocky Mountain costs $70, while the National Parks' America The Beautiful pass costs $80 and grants admission to more than 2,000 sites across the United States.

Wilderness camping requires a permit that's $30 per party from May through October, and free the rest of the year. Visit www.nps.gov/romo/planyourvisit/wilderness-camping.htm before you go for a planning guide to backcountry camping. You can get your permit online, by phone (970/586–1242), or in person. In person, you can get a day-of-trip permit year-round at one of the park’s two backcountry offices, located next to the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center and in the Kawuneeche Visitor Center.
