Le Capitole Hôtel
Freshly renovated, this turn-of-the-20th-century structure just outside the St-Jean Gate and the fortifications is a fancy hotel, dining destination, and 1920s cabaret-style dinner theater (the Théâtre Capitole) all rolled into one. The décor is glamorous, with touches of cream, gold, and light gray, and furnishings are nothing short of luxurious with marble bathrooms, king beds, and heated floors. Horizon rooms offer unobstructed views of Old Québec—some even have a balcony. Outside the comforts of the rooms are two surprisingly-good-for-a-hotel restaurants, Il Teatro (Italian) and BÔ Cuisine d'Asie (Asian), as well as a Champagne bar on the sixth floor.
Les Lofts de L'Adresse
Built in 1899 at the request of an affluent bourgeois family, this historic redbrick residence exudes refinement, authenticity, and commands attention. All 14 lofts have been completely renovated and boast abundant natural light. The layout is functional, and the décor is classic, contemporary, and comfortable. Lofts 14 and 15, despite having smaller windows, have original exposed stone walls. A good-value gem to discover on the edge of the Plains of Abraham.

Lofts Vieux-Québec
This collection of lofts, located in some of the Lower Town's most historic buildings (although not all), offers travelers the chance to live like locals, at their own pace. The lofts are all meticulously decorated and furnished, many with bunk beds to accommodate families and equipped with kitchens and full bathrooms. The St-Pierre, Notre-Dame, and St-Vallier properties are particularly charming, with their exposed brick walls and high ceilings.
Manoir d'Auteuil
Art deco and art nouveau meet in this hotel, where an ornately sculpted iron banister wraps up through four floors, leading to guest rooms with varying styles and features. One guest room is a former chapel, two have a tiny staircase leading to their bathroom, and two others have showers with seven showerheads. There is also the Edith Piaf Suite, named for the French singer who used to frequent the hotel. Rooms on the fourth floor are smaller but are less expensive and come with great views of the Parliament buildings.
Monsieur Jean Hotel Particulier
Quirky and whimsical, close to all the historical and culinary attractions of Old Québec, Monsieur Jean's suites will appeal to travelers who love Louis XIV luxury in its most contemporary expression. Features include heated floors, bright colors, Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, kitchenettes, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering a view of the Old City or the river. The common areas are quite fun too; there's a piano salon, a fireplace living room, and a library with books and board games. And be sure to discover Le Bijou, the hotel's new speakeasy cocktail bar, which perfectly mirrors Monsieur Jean's distinctive whimsy.
