The cavernous lobby has a grand fireplace and standard rooms are all comfortably furnished, and most have mountain views. Rooms and suites on the Gold floors have fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, and their own concierge, as well as access to a private lounge where you can enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the morning and hors d'oeuvres before dinner. Not only is the decor warm and inviting, the apartment-size studio and one- and two-bedroom suites are great choices for families and were renovated in 2014. What's more, kids 17 and under stay for free when sharing space with their parents. All units have kitchens, fireplaces, and balconies—even their own washers and dryers. Pets are also welcome. The Brickworks Public House is very child-friendly during the day, before the pub crowd takes over at night.

This renovated luxury hotel has not only a prime location at the entrance of the village but also a long list of upscale amenities that will make you want to stay here. The lobby is dramatic, and rooms are chic and cozy, with gas fireplaces, extra-deep tubs, and exceptionally comfy beds. There are also a handful of 1,400-square-foot, split-level suites that are great for families: each has a full kitchen and a loft bedroom with a whirlpool tub. The hotel's large and top-rated restaurant, Grill & Vine, has an open kitchen and fantastic oversized windows. The spa has a mountain-view lounge, and offers facials, body wraps, and holistic therapies. The FireRock Lounge has live entertainment weekly, and is a mellow alternative to rowdy après-ski venues.
