Fodor's Expert Review Museo Fernando García Ponce—MACAY

Mérida Art Museum

Located next to the cathedral, the building that houses this museum was originally designed as an art school and used until 1915 as a seminary. It now showcases the works of contemporary Yucatecan artists such as Gabriel Ramírez Aznar and Fernando García Ponce, and hosts a variety of temporary exhibits. It's free to visit; just in via sign the guestbook.
