The city's first deluxe hotel is still one of its most elegant, with a beautiful marble lobby and contemporary rooms that are tastefully done in taupe color schemes set off by dark-wood furniture. Upper-crust Meridanos recommend Spasso Italian restaurant as a fine place to have a drink in the evening, and Sunday brunch at Peregrina Bistro is memorable.
