Atthe Antigua Cooking School each four-hour class includes English instruction for preparing three local dishes, plus tortillas and black beans (the requisite accompaniments to any Guatemalan meal). You'll get your hands dirty and help in the preparation and, of course, in the sampling after class. Lessons are Tuesday at 1 pm, and Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 10 am. The per-person fee is Q500. Reserve a spot at least two days in advance. Instruction is for people 15 and older.
