Gaziantep

Editor's Note: This property is currently undergoing renovations.

The city's main museum houses a mix of antiquities from throughout the area's long history. The most interesting exhibits are from the Temple of Zeuz Doliche, north of the city, an important shrine until it was destroyed by the Persians in 253. Other finds range for mammoth bones and prehistoric pottery to Hittite statues and Roman surgical equipment. As of this writing, it was undergoing major renovations.
