Bus Travel

As in other parts of the country, an efficient network of postbuses covers the region, even to the most remote hamlets. If you're staying in a car-free resort, traveling by bus frees you from finding a place to keep your car. Inquire about special bus passes for the region, including the Valais Central Pass for 48 SF (three days of travel within the same week).

Buses are also a convenient way to return to starting points from long-distance hikes. Resorts like Verbier, Crans-Montana, and Saas-Fee, with its contingent valleys, have free shuttles that loop a circuit for skiers and snowboarders, as well as summer guests.
