Fodor's Expert Review Dom Tonho
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Seafood is the specialty of this riverfront restaurant owned by veteran musician and Porto native Rui Paula, which occupies a beautiful and historic building that dates back to the 16th century. Try grilled fish, one of the codfish dishes, lombo de veado (loin of venison) or real local specialty tripas à moda do Porto (tripe stew with beans and vegetables). There's another Dom Tonho serving similar food just across the Dom Luís bridge in Gaia—affording amazing views of Porto itself.
