Halfway between the Cinque Terre and Portofino lies this lovely seaside resort. The old village is on a peninsula with the beautiful Baia del Silenzio on one side and the Baia delle Favole and promenade on the other. The Baia delle Favole (favole means "fairy tales") was named in honor of the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, who visited Sestri for a short time.
