Tiare's Breeze

$$$ | Tahaa, French Polynesia

Located in the island's hilly section, this is a villa with a hillside two-bedroom thatched bungalow and a overwater pontoon. The bungalow also has kitchen, two bathrooms, and plenty of deck space offering fantastic views over the lagoon and Haamene Bay. You'll fall asleep beneath the stars and wake up to fresh island fruit and French pastries delivered to your doorstep. The pontoon has a living area with daybed and bar and big deck, a bit like an overwater bungalow. Guests sun bake, swim in the lagoon (access via a ladder), fish, and enjoy other water sports such as kayaking and use of the villa's boat, driven by a boat captain. Meals can be prepared in the kitchen or ordered in from Le Taha'a Island resort's restaurant, while the Hibiscus restaurant is just across the bay and can be accessed by kayak.

Pros

  • A great place for reflection and quiet time
  • Linens and mosquito nets provided
  • Private bathrooms with hot water. Friendly owners, who live on the lagoon edge, often invite guest for dinner

Cons

  • Expensive
