A small attractive town on a wide curving bay, Apollo Bay is a quieter alternative to busy Great Ocean Road towns like Lorne. There's enough diversity to entertain visitors, with several places to eat and plenty of opportunities for aquatic activities. It's most popular as a jumping-off point for the famous rock formations of the Twelve Apostles Marine National Park, and the greenery of Great Otway National Park.
