This beachfront budget hotel, a large white low-rise right on Kovalam's slightly shabby but buzzing main drag, is popular with foreigners. There's a lot of excitement to absorb, but not much peace here. Private sea-facing balconies in every room let you see all the action—people strolling, sunbathing, swimming, and fishing—on the bustling Lighthouse Beach. Air-conditioned rooms are spacious, with high ceilings; all are simply furnished. Suite rooms are a better bet, with large white-and-green tiled bathrooms.
