Traveling in an Emergency? These Four Airlines Offer Bereavement Fares

While it is a dwindling practice, some airlines still offer bereavement fares.

Navigating well-planned travel for work, vacation, and other leisurely activities can be stressful for novice and veteran travelers alike. For those navigating travel under duress, tension can magnify when combined with grief and the astronomical costs of last-minute travel details like flights. But some airlines still offer bereavement fares.

What Exactly Is A Bereavement Fare, and Which Airlines Offer It?

The definition and the qualifications will vary based on the participating airline. Generally speaking, a bereavement fare is a specified discount for persons flying as the result of the death of a loved one. These fares may also have more flexibility than standard economy seats.
